Geoffrey Colon is a compelling voice at the intersection of marketing, tech, media and popular culture. Creator, DJ, data punk, podcaster, video show producer/host, and author, Geoffrey was the creator and Head of Brand Studio for Microsoft Advertising in Redmond, WA for 9 years.

Colon has launched his own solopreneur agency CREATIVE STUDIES in 2022 to work with the most innovative and creative brands at the intersection of technology + media + subcultures + commerce.

Geoffrey has written for or been quoted in dozens of media outlets including Business Insider, Fast Company, The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Billboard Magazine, AdWeek and Entrepreneur. He has also appeared on Cheddar TV, NASDAQ Live, WABC-AM New York and Marketplace on NPR.

He is an avid speaker on the global marketing conference circuit and has keynoted events in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, Bangkok, Portland, Raleigh, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Oslo and Tromso.

Written in 2015 and published in 2016 in what has become a "cult classic for marketers,"  Disruptive Marketing is his first book.

Geoffrey was the creator, producer and host of DISRUPTIVE FM, the podcast where business and culture collide from 2013 to 2021.

Geoffrey has also produced the voice skill and podcast Insights with Microsoft. Originally developed as a skill for Alexa, Google Home and Cortana, you can subscribe to listen to it on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or Spotify.

Colon was also the creator and co-executive producer of the web video series The Download for two seasons.

He is currently the executive producer for Everything Is Better With Creators podcast, producer and co-host of the podcast HumanCode and host and creator of the videocast and newsletter Creative Studies.

Prior to being at Microsoft, Geoffrey was vice president of digital strategy at Ogilvy & Mather in New York City and a creative lead at 360i, Splendid and Bond Strategy & Influence.

Colon has spent 20 years in various marketing capacities working for and with several of the most influential brands including Red Bull, Spotify, Netflix, American Express, The Economist, Coca-Cola, IBM, WWE and Food Network. He spent a few years in the New York City tech startup world and several years in the music industry working with several high profile musical artists including Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, The White Stripes and Moby.

He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. He has a special certification in modern marketing from Northwestern University and a certification in Visual and Graphic Design from Parson’s School of Design.
